You could be hitting your protein goals perfectly and still be fueling the wrong way…
Simply put, the quality of your macros matter.
You could be hitting your protein goals perfectly or thinking you’re eating super clean, but you’re choosing protein powder with natural flavors and additives, opting for the sugar-free pudding mix for “healthy recipes,” and actually damaging your hormones even more while trying so hard to eat clean.
And it’s not your fault. Health marketing has reached a whole new level of green-washing and faking you out on what is actually healthy. Health “influencers” are giving you the best protein snack while sharing recipes full of crap or inflammatory foods.
Honestly, you’re way better off eating what you want, not caring about macros, and making sure it’s as unprocessed, whole as possible. Ditch the quest bars, barbell protein bars, premier cafe’ protein shake in your coffee, & 1st phorm protein shakes. ALL of these products have natural flavors, gums, seed oils, and hidden ingredients you probably wouldn’t even recognize on the label (if they’re even on there).
If you want to treat yourself to Starbucks, please don’t get the sugar-free syrup thinking you’re being healthier. Just get 1-2 pumps of the normal syrup if you must have it, and be mindful the rest of the day of your sugar.
